Mario Balotelli shows off 'Liver bird' haircut ahead of Merseyside derby

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli seems to have paid tribute to his new club by getting what appears to be a Liver bird shaved into his hair.

The Italy international, who joined the Reds from AC Milan for £16m in the summer, unveiled his new hairdo on Instagram ahead of this weekend's Merseyside derby against Everton.

Balotelli has not claimed that his haircut includes Liverpool's symbol, but the 24-year-old added the message, "do you see what I mean?" to his Instagram post.
