Everton boss Roberto Martinez blames photographer for 'moody' Aaron Lennon pics

Everton manager Roberto Martinez jokes that the photographer is to blame for Aaron Lennon's 'moody' photos after joining the club on loan.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has jokingly blamed a photographer after the club released images of Aaron Lennon looking less than happy after signing for the club.

On Monday, the 27-year-old joined the Toffees on loan from Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season.

Despite receiving the chance to play more first-team football, Lennon looked rather moody in his first photos as an Everton player, and he was roundly mocked on social media.

Today, Martinez addressed the photos in his press conference by saying: "He is very happy - I would blame the photographer because it is their job to make him produce a nice smile!

"But I saw a different face - a focused face, of someone who is ready to train and to perform."

Lennon also insisted that he is happy moving to Merseyside by tweeting: "Even though i may not look it in the pics I'm buzzing to be here, enjoyed my 1st day at training and everyone made me feel really welcome."

The 27-year-old joined Spurs back in 2005.
