Dundee United legend Doug Smith has died at the age of 75.
The former centre-half was involved with the Scottish Premier League side for more than 40 years, serving as a director after his playing career ended.
Smith played 628 competitive matches for the Tangerines between 1958 and 1976, including a historic victory over Barcelona in Europe during the 1960s.
He returned to the club as director in 1983, remaining there until January 2002 when a new board of directors took control.
United's players will wear black armbands during Sunday's Dundee derby at Dens Park and flags will be flown at half-mast at Tannadice Park as a mark of respect.
