Cardiff City's Craig Bellamy given six-month driving ban

Bellamy hit with driving ban

Cardiff City striker Craig Bellamy has been handed a six-month driving ban after admitting to speeding.

The 33-year-old, who committed the offence while he was a Liverpool player, was caught driving at 64mph in a 50mph zone down the M62.

While the Welshman originally pleaded not guilty, he switched his verdict in December and was ordered to pay a £900 fine and £400 in costs by Liverpool Magistrates' Court, according to the Daily Mail.

Bellamy ignored an official letter of prosecution following the incident.
