Ings to help ill girl complete bucket list

Burnley striker Danny Ings has vowed to help a little girl suffering with a life-threatening illness tick off the items on her bucket list.

Four-year-old Harlee-Jae, who has a rare genetic condition, met the Burnley star at the Premier League club's training ground this week after the footballer read about her situation on Twitter.

Ings has promised to take the youngster to the zoo and welcome her to Turf Moor as his matchday mascot, as well as dress up as character Elsa from Disney film Frozen.

"It's a nice feeling for me to meet her," Ings told the Manchester Evening News. "Hopefully we can work together and tick off as many things as we can. I think we can do most of them.

"I've got myself a new best friend, and she gave me a kiss on the cheek as well which was nice."

Harlee-Jae became a fan of Ings after playing video game FIFA.
