Three Monchengladbach fans stabbed in Rome?

Borussia Monchengladbach fans have reportedly been injured in attacks before their team's Europa League clash with Lazio.

The Bundesliga outfit bowed out of the competition after losing 2-0 in Rome, but three of their travelling supporter are believed to be in hospital being treated for stab wounds.

According to a report on Football Italia, a 50-year-old and 30-year-old were attacked not far from each other, while a third was outside the Hotel Hilton.

It is the second time this season that fans have been attacked on a visit to the Italian capital, following the violent scenes witnessed by Tottenham Hotspur fans.

Over 8,000 German fans were believed to have travelled to the game.
