Stokes pleads guilty to assaulting Elvis impersonator

Blackburn Rovers striker Anthony Stokes has pleased guilty to assaulting an Elvis Presley impersonator during a night out in Dublin.

The Republic of Ireland international, who made a move to Ewood Park in the summer on a three-year deal, admits one charge of assault on performer Anthony Bradley.

Former Arsenal and Celtic ace Stokes pleaded guilty at an arraignment hearing on Thursday, with the nine-cap striker now scheduled to be sentenced on December 20.

The incident took place outside a nightclub in the Irish capital on June 8, 2013.
