Gerard Pique, Shakira become parents to 'Milan Pique Mebarak'

Gerard Pique and Shakira have announced that they have become the proud parents of a baby boy named 'Milan Pique Mebarak'.

The Spanish international is the latest member of the Barcelona squad to have become a father, following the arrival of Lionel Messi's son Thiago in November.

The couple revealed in September that they were expecting their first child together.

The Colombian singer gave birth yesterday evening, and the couple have now started an online campaign with UNICEF aimed at providing poverty-stricken infants with food and vital vaccinations.

The initiative is called 'World Baby Shower', with people being given the chance to win prizes if they use their social network profiles to promote the project.
