Diego Simeone joins Twitter

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has joined social networking site Twitter.

The Argentine, whose tag is @Simeone, launched his account earlier this morning and has already gained close to 30,000 followers.

The 44-year-old is widely regarded as currently one of the best managers in European football having led Atletico to the top of La Liga and into the final of the Champions League this season.

He has already managed six clubs despite a relatively short coaching career and made 106 appearances for his country.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, meanwhile, also has a Twitter account - @MrAncelotti.
