Monaco striker Radamel Falcao has insisted that there is no truth in rumours that he has been lying about his age.
Reports from South America earlier this week suggested that the Colombian is actually 29 years old despite being listed as 27 when bought for £53m by the French outfit earlier this summer.
However, Falcao, along with his father, has blasted the speculation in the media and wants to bring an end to the issue.
"I have been surprised with stories in the media about my age," Falcao wrote on Twitter.
"They are totally ridiculous. I want to deny this and end this issue once and for all."
The rumours started after records from his school days seemed to show that he was born on February 10, 1986 - two years after the date on official records.
