Wenger to referee charity match in Rome

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly spending transfer deadline day refereeing a charity match in Rome.

The Frenchman, who is under pressure to sign a striker due to Olivier Giroud's foot injury, was spotted at Heathrow airport this morning.

According to Eurosport, the match, which aims to promote inter-religious peace through sporting engagement, will also feature Andrea Pirlo and Ronaldinho.

Should the Gunners try to sign a new striker, they have until 11pm today to get a deal over the line.
