Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has revealed that he used to do somersaults and clean cars in order to earn money while growing up in Chile.
The 25-year-old has impressed at the Emirates of late following his move from Barcelona in the summer.
Sanchez earns a generous living as a footballer, but the Chilean has revealed that it was not always that way for him.
"As I could do somersaults, people would say to me, 'do a somersault and we'll give you 50 or 100 Pesos'," Sanchez told the club's official website. "I also used to clean cars.
"My first pair of boots were given to me by the Mayor of Tocopilla after my mum went to speak with him. One day he turned up at my house and just gave me them. I was made up, like a dog with two tails!"
The Gunners currently sit eighth in the Premier League table, nine points behind leaders Chelsea.
