Mesut Ozil has reportedly hired minders to guard his home in North London after his car was targeted by two knife-wielding men on Thursday.
Ozil was with teammate Sead Kolasinac and their partners in his black Mercedes 4x4 on Golders Green Lane when two carjackers on motorbikes attacked the Arsenal duo with knives.
Video footage, which has gone viral, shows Kolasinac jumping out of the vehicle to fight away the two assailants as Ozil drives off.
According to The Mirror, two men, dressed in casual dark clothing, have been hired to stand outside of Ozil's mansion in Hampstead.
Arsenal spoke with the pair on Thursday evening and confirmed that they were fine, although it is said that Ozil has been left stunned by the incident.
No arrests have been made three days on from the incident, and enquiries are continuing.
