Per Mertesacker has been accused of picking his nose and then wiping his soiled hands in a mascot's hair.

In a clip circulating on social media, the Arsenal defender is seen appearing to perform the deed as he waited in the tunnel prior to the Gunners' 2-1 victory over Manchester City last week.

Speaking after the triumph, Mertesacker was full of praise for his side's playing styles as they aim to secure their first title in 12 years.
