Arsenal fan pleads guilty following confrontation with Arsene Wenger

An Arsenal fan pleads guilty after trying to confront Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger during the Gunners' defeat to Southampton at St Mary's.

An Arsenal supporter has pleaded guilty to running into a banned area at St Mary's to confront manager Arsene Wenger.

Luke Bryant was removed from the stadium by stewards after he angrily gesticulated towards Wenger and assistant manager Steve Bould in the dugout.

The incident occurred during Arsenal's 2-0 defeat to Southampton on New Year's Day.

The 25-year-old, from Hampshire, will have a hearing on February 27 after pleading guilty to going onto an area adjacent to the playing area contrary to the Football Offences Act 1991, according to the Daily Star.

Bryant could face a Football Banning Order.
