AC Milan fans buy Mario Balotelli shirts with wrong number?

Over 1,000 AC Milan supporters have reportedly bought new signing Mario Balotelli's shirt with the striker's wrong squad number.

Reports had claimed that the 22-year-old, who is expected to complete a move to the San Siro from Manchester City today, was thought to be issued with the number nine jersey.

The rumours prompted fans to purchase shirts with the number emblazoned on the back but it is now believed that Balotelli will wear the number 45 shirt, according to the Daily Mail.
