AC Milan's Mario Balotelli shows off his collection of "cartoon" football boots

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has shown off his new personalised collection of Puma football boots, which appear to take inspiration from cartoons and comic books.

The Italian forward, who is on loan at Milan from Liverpool, shared a photo of the new footwear, which have been splashed with various colours of blue, orange and yellow, on Instagram.

The words 'Pow!' and 'Bang!' have also been painted on the boots, while Balotelli has paid tribute to his late adopted father Franco by stitching his name alongside an Italian flag on the outside of the shoes.

Accompanying the picture was a caption, which read: "I shouldn't say it but this are ones of my favourites .. Can't wait to be back in the pitch to score with these! Patience. cartoon boots.."
