Teddy Rinner wins gold in men's heavyweight judo

France's Teddy Rinner has won gold in the men's +100kg heavyweight judo final.

The 22-year-old Frenchman, who was favourite going into the competition, beat Russia's Alexander Mikhaylin in an uneventful final.

Gold-winner Rinner had surprisingly slipped to a disappointing bronze at Beijing 2008.

He is the only fighter to have secured five world championships by the age of 22.
