Hazeltine to host Ryder Cup for second time in 2028

Hazeltine will become the first American venue to host the Ryder Cup for a second time when the biennial tournament heads back to Minnesota in 2028.

Hazeltine has been selected to host the 2028 Ryder Cup, making it the first American venue to hold the competition for a second time.

The United States won the biennial tournament when it was last staged at the Minnesota course two years ago, prevailing 17-11 against Europe.

Despite complaints from members of Europe's camp regarding the behaviour of those in attendance, Hazeltine will now get a second turn at playing host.

France's Le Golf National will host the next competition later this year, before it heads to Whistling Straits in Wisconsin in 2020 and Marco Simone in Rome four years from now.

Bethpage Black in New York and the Olympic Club in San Francisco will host it in 2024 and 2032 respectively.
