Brice Garnett holds lead after second round of Crowne Plaza Invitational

Brice Garnett cards a round of 66 to finish on seven-under on day two of the Crowne Invitational Plaza to lead the competition.

American Brice Garnett leads the Crowne Plaza Invitational by one shot after the second day of the tournament.

The 30-year-old started the day two shots off the pace on three-under, but shot a fine round of 66 to finish the day on seven-under to lead the competition.

Chris Stroud carded the joint-lowest round of the day with a 64 to move up 40 places to tie for second place with Robert Streb, who was two-under on day two.

Day one leader Dustin Johnson failed to build on his excellent start to the tournament as he shot an even-par round of 70 to fall back to tied-fourth.
