Liam Bond leads Wales Open

Liam Bond has navigated his way to the top of the leaderboard at the Wales Open with a second-round 68 at Celtic Manor.

The Welshman, who shot 69 yesterday, is one shot clear of Tjaart van der Walt and overnight leader Espen Kofstad on five-under-par.

European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley is one of five players two shots off the lead on three-under-par.

The cut was made at four-over-par, meaning that Bernd Wiesberger (+5), Thorbjorn Olesen (+5), Miguel Angel Jimenez (+9) and Johnnie Walker Championship winner Tommy Fleetwood (+9) will off this weekend.
