Walker, Streb lead US PGA as McIlroy misses cut

Jimmy Walker and Robert Streb have opened up a two-shot lead at the US PGA Championship but Rory McIlroy has missed the cut despite shooting a second-round 69.

First-round leader Walker backed up his opening 65 with a score of 66, while Streb reached the clubhouse at Baltusrol in 63, which equals the lowest score ever recorded at a Major championship.

However, world number four McIlroy is out after missing the cut at the final Major of the year for the first time in his career, with a bogey on the final hole leaving him one shot adrift of the cut.

World number one Jason Day and Argentine Emiliano Grillo currently pose the biggest threat to the leaders as they sit two shots back, with Open winner Henrik Stenson lurking in fifth place.

Martin Kaymer, Patrick Reed, Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth also feature in a star-studded top 10 while Jamie Donaldson leads the British charge after finishing Friday's play five off the leaders.
