Woods, Williams to be kept apart in Oz

Tiger Woods and his ex-caddy Steve Williams will be kept apart during the Australian Open due to the race row surrounding the former partnership, according to the Daily Mail.

Williams, who is now employed by Adam Scott, came under fire after making a racist remark targeted at the former world number one in Shanghai.

Despite his comments, the New Zealander will not face any punishment but organisers will ensure that Woods does not come into contact with the 48-year-old in Australia.

The American was originally due to partner Scott in the opening two rounds of the tournament, but organisers have now altered the schedule in light of the race row.

"This is Tiger's first visit to Sydney and we want to make it a five-star experience," tournament director Tony Roosenburg has been quoted as saying.

Williams' current employer Scott has supported his caddy by claiming that he is not racist.
