Justin Rose making changes to short game

Rose uses new putting coach

Justin Rose has revealed that he is being taught by a relatively unknown putting coach in an attempt to improve his short game.

The British golfer will compete at this week's Open Championship and is hoping that David Orr, a teaching professional at Campbell University, will add extra quality to his putting.

Rose said: "He's dedicated himself to putting. We work a lot on putting, drills, speed, reading the greens.

"The time was right to clean up the putting. I'm encouraged but it may take a week, it may take a month, it may take three months."

Rose is currently ninth in the world rankings.
