Louis Oosthuizen took a share of the lead at the end of day one of the Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews.

The South African fired a 66 with Michael Hoey, Rafael Cabrera Bello and Markus Brier to end the day on six-under-par, while Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell was a shot further back.

England's Lee Westwood finished the first round on four-under with Colin Montgomerie, Martin Kaymer and Padraig Harrington.
