Damien McGrane takes Hassan Trophy lead

Ireland's Damien McGrane has established a two-shot lead after day one of the Hassan Trophy in Morocco.

McGrane fired an opening round of 65 to end the day on seven-under-par at the Royal Palace course in Agadir.

Spain's Alejandro Canizares is two shots further back, while Italy's Edoardo Molinari took a share of four-under with six others.

Elsewhere, England's Robert Rock did significant damage to his Masters hopes with a five-over 77.

The 34-year-old needs to finish the tournament in the top two in order to break into the top 50 of the world rankings.
