Bill Haas leads the Memorial Tournament by three shots but the second round was suspended due to darkness in Ohio.

Play has been suspended at the Memorial Tournament in Ohio due to fading light, leaving Bill Haas atop the leaderboard with the second round still to be completed.

The 31-year-old American carded a 67 - one better than yesterday - to get to nine-under-par at Muirfield Village. He is three clear of his compatriot Matt Kuchar, who signed for a two-under round of 70.

Overnight leader Charl Schwartzel (-6) has not been able to replicate his dazzling form of yesterday and will resume on the 16th tomorrow one-over for his second round.

The South African is joined on six-under by Bubba Watson and Kyle Stanley, who will pick up their rounds at the 15th and 14th respectively.

Elsewhere on the leaderboard, Rory McIlroy (+2) has made a recovery from his disastrous start. He ended the day on four-under with four holes of his second round left to play.

The Northern Irishman is joined on two-over by Luke Donald, but Lee Westwood has slipped to six-over and will miss the cut.
