Ben Crenshaw fills in for Arnold Palmer at Masters curtain-raiser

Ben Crenshaw will fill in for Arnold Palmer at the Masters par-three tournament on Wednesday at the Augusta National.

Palmer, 85, is unable to take his usual place alongside Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus for the traditional Masters curtain-raiser as he is currently recovering from a dislocated shoulder. However, Palmer will still act as honorary starter for the tournament.

Crenshaw, 63, will also compete in his 44th consecutive Masters, which he has confirmed will be his last.

A two-time winner, Crenshaw has taken part in every Masters since he first entered as a 20-year-old amateur in 1972.
