Pastor Maldonado claims that he is feeling "confident" with his Williams team's new aerodynamics upgrade ahead of this weekend's home British Grand Prix.
Williams have looked quick in many races this season but have not accumulated as many points as their pace has suggested, and Maldonado believes that the new aerodynamic package will improve the team's competitiveness.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Maldonado said: "I feel confident. We have a new aero package for this race so looking forward to see this in the track.
"We have been trying it on the simulator this week. It's going to be an interesting test for us, especially for the future, so [I am] very happy [for the upgrade] to be here in the home race for the team."
Maldonado has only finished in the points twice this season, one being victory in the Spanish Grand Prix at Catalunya.
