Esteban Gutierrez is reportedly to become a Sauber driver from next season.

Mexican Esteban Gutierrez is to become Nico Hulkenburg's teammate at Sauber next season, according to Cancha magazine.

Carlos Slim, the team's sponsor, is reportedly looking for another Mexican driver to replace Sergio Perez, who is moving to McLaren to replace Lewis Hamilton.

"We are talking to Sauber for next season and we intend to continue together in 2013, obviously with a Mexican as a driver, which is Esteban Gutierrez," Slim is quoted as saying.

Sauber are sixth in the constructors' championship ahead of the final grand prix of the season in Brazil.
