Sebastian Vettel: 'Red Bull situation not the best'

Sebastian Vettel admits that it could take time to cure Red Bull car performance issues, but believes that the team can overcome their recent problems.

Sebastian Vettel has admitted that Red Bull's current situation ahead of the new season is not the best, but insists that the team are doing all they can to cure the problems affecting their car's performance.

The constructors champions have one more day of testing in Bahrain left to fix their reliability issues before the team head to Australia to begin their 2014 campaign.

While the German driver was downbeat in his response on Red Bull's current position, he remained defiant about their chances of bouncing back to surprise the rest of the Formula 1 paddock.

He told reporters: "We obviously have lots of different problems we are curing. It's not the best situation to be in but we can't change it.

"Everybody is extremely motivated to fix it, but it doesn't happen overnight.

"We can just hope for a better day tomorrow and then to have a decent start to the season in Melbourne, but at this stage obviously reliability is still a big question mark."

The first race of the season takes place in Melbourne on March 16.
