Lewis Hamilton admits that it is "looking good" that Mercedes can secure pole position for this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he has been impressed with the pace of his car during the first two practice sessions for the Monaco Grand Prix.

Hamilton's teammate Nico Rosberg has been fastest in both sessions, while Hamilton has finished in fifth and second position respectively, and the former McLaren driver believes that it is "looking good" for the weekend.

The 28-year-old told Sky Sports News: "Some of the others are looking pretty quick, but we have good pace ourselves.

"Nico is looking really quick this weekend, so it is looking good."

The Brit is currently in fourth position in the drivers' standings.
