Rosberg wins German Grand Prix

Nico Rosberg has won the German Grand Prix after holding off the challenge of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton, who finished second and third respectively.

It was a relatively straight-forward afternoon for Rosberg, with the championship leader winning from pole position following a confident drive.

The result moves Rosberg 14 points clear of fellow Mercedes driver Hamilton at the head of the championship with nine races remaining.

Hamilton incredibly moved from 20th on the grid to finish third, while Sebastian Vettel came in fourth ahead of Fernando Alonso to complete the top five in Germany.
