Wolff: 'Championship blown wide open'

Mercedes co-team boss Toto Wolff has claimed the Lewis Hamilton's win at the British Grand Prix has 'blown the Championship wide open'.

Hamilton romped to victory at Silverstone on Sunday, while teammate Nico Rosberg was forced to retire with 22 laps remaining.

The Brit is now just four points behind Championship leader Rosberg in the standings with 10 races left this season.

"I'm really happy for Lewis, he really deserved it," Wolff is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "It blows the championship wide open."

The Formula 1 season continues on July 20 with the German Grand Prix.
