Lewis Hamilton tops first practice in Abu Dhabi

World champion Lewis Hamilton tops the standings in the first practice session ahead of Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton has edged out Nico Rosberg to finish top of the standings in the first practice session ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The world champion is looking to end his year in style, and he took the first step to achieving his target by finishing just over a tenth of a second faster than his Mercedes teammate.

The Ferrari duo of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel finished third and fifth respectively, either side of Red Bull's Daniil Kvyat.

Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso ended the session in 13th and 14th place in the McLaren.
