Hamilton: 'No comfort from lead'

Lewis Hamilton has insisted that he draws no comfort from leading the world championship by 17 points going into the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

If the Briton finishes second in next Sunday's race, he will take the Formula 1 drivers' crown for a second time, but Hamilton is not taking anything for granted in his duel with teammate Nico Rosberg.

He is quoted by Autosport as saying: "There is zero comfort going into the next race because it's 50 points to gain and that's never happened in Formula 1 before.

"It just so happens to be this season and, in the last race you never know what's going to happen. So I'm going to the last race to win."

Hamilton's first championship success in 2008 saw the then McLaren driver pass Tim Glock on the last corner of the Brazilian Grand Prix to deny Felipe Massa the title.
