Kimi Raikkonen says he is disappointed after finish in second place for the third race in a row at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Lotus racer Kimi Raikkonen has revealed his frustrations after finishing second to Fernando Alonso at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday.

The Finn recorded his third consecutive runner-up finish having started fourth on the grid and ended the circuit just nine seconds after the race winner.

While he admits that closing the gap on standings leader Sebastian Vettel is a good thing, Raikkonen is unhappy with his failure to earn the chequered flag.

"We have to just take what we can from every race," Raikkonen told BBC Sport. "We just have to keep working as a team to achieve the biggest goal we can.

"It's only been five races, we are here to try to win races and win championships so it is disappointing to finish second.

"We took some points off Sebastian today and closed the gap so that is a positive but we need to be winning races if we are to win the title."

Raikkonen is currently four points behind leader Vettel at the top of the drivers' rankings.
