Grosjean: 'Canadian GP was crazy'

Romain Grosjean has labelled Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix as a "crazy race".

The Lotus driver finished second on the podium behind winner Lewis Hamilton after adopting the same one-stop strategy as Ferrari. While the tactic provided Fernando Alonso with some tyre problems, the Swiss racer reaped the benefits of changing from 'super-soft' to 'soft' tyres and admits that he was in a fight for a finish in the top three.

"We thought about a one-stop and see what was going on later on. The car felt pretty good when I put the prime tyre on," said Grosjean.

"I was fighting with and pushing quite hard but I knew I was going for a one-stoop.

"Then I saw Mark [Webber] come in, then I saw Fernando in front of me.

"It was a crazy end to the race and I was thinking, 'What is going on?'"

Grosjean is now seventh in the Drivers' standings while Hamilton tops the table.
