Hamilton tops final practice session

Lewis Hamilton has topped the timing sheets in the final practice session ahead of qualifying for the penultimate grand prix of the 2011 season in Abu Dhabi.

The McLaren driver set a time of 1:38.976 to finish 0.427 seconds ahead of already-crowned world champion Sebastian Vettel.

The German's teammate Mark Webber was third ahead of Jenson Button, who currently holds second place in the drivers' standings.

Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso, Button's nearest rival for overall second, was fifth with Mercedes's Nico Rosberg completing the top six.

Qualifying begins at 1pm GMT.
