Johnson signs new Yeovil contract

A statement on Yeovil Town's official website has confirmed that Gary Johnson has signed a new two-year deal with the Championship club.

Johnson led the Glovers into the second tier via the playoffs last season, but it had been suggested that he could depart due to financial restraints.

"Yeovil Town are delighted to announce that Gary Johnson has agreed a new contract to remain as Yeovil Town manager until the summer of 2015," read the statement.

"Gary reached agreement today on a two-year contract after overseeing promotion to the Championship for the first time in the club's history.

"The club can also confirm that Terry Skiverton and Darren Way have also agreed new deals to keep them at the club until 2015 along with all the coaching, medical and scouting staff."

Johnson has previously managed Bristol City, Peterborough United and Northampton Town.
