Jacobs happy to return to Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Michael Jacobs has admitted that he needed the playing time that he was given during his loan spell with Blackpool.

After a spell out of the Wolves first-team squad, Jacobs was loaned to the Seasiders where he played five times, but after returning to Molineux for the remainder of the campaign, the former Derby County man is keen to work his way back into the starting lineup.

The 23-year-old told the club's official website: "It was nice to get the call on Tuesday night to be recalled and nice to hear that Wolves had been watching the games.

"I feel I did alright at Blackpool and it has benefited me going out and getting some Championship games under my belt. It was under difficult circumstances but it was what I needed having not been involved too much this year.

"I am looking forward to being back at Wolves and getting back involved. It's just waiting for an opportunity to come along."

Jacobs could be involved from the bench when Wolves play Birmingham City at St Andrew's on Saturday afternoon.
