David Edwards urges Wolverhampton Wanderers to take League One seriously if they are to bounce back to the Championship.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder David Edwards has warned his side that League One will not be an easy league to get out of.

Wolves have suffered back-to-back relegations and Edwards, who has played in League One before, said that they must be solid at the back to grind out the results needed for promotion.

"I've played in every league from the Conference up, so I know what League One is like," he told the club's official website. "It's a tough league and if people think we're going to turn up to places and win four or 5-0, they're wrong.

"It's not going to be like that - it's about going to those tough away grounds and grinding out 1-0 wins, which is what we'll need to do. Look at all the teams that get relegated from the Championship - not many of them jump straight back up. It's a very tough league and you can't always play the way you want to play.

"It's about getting results. I'm aware of that and I'm sure whoever is manager - and whichever new players come in - will be fully aware of it as well."

Edwards has recently had his contract extended by Wolves.
