Alfred N'Diaye: 'Wolverhampton Wanderers face 16 finals'

Midfielder Alfred N'Diaye says that Wolverhampton Wanderers face '16 finals' during the closing months of the campaign as the club look to win the Championship.

Midfielder Alfred N'Diaye has claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers will approach their final 16 fixtures in the Championship like they 'are a final'.

Saturday's 3-0 victory over Sheffield United ensured that Nuno Espirito Santo's side remain 11 points clear at the top of the second-tier standings and 12 points ahead of third-placed Aston Villa.

However, N'Diaye - on loan from Villarreal - has suggested that there will be no complacency as Wolves look to return to the Premier League for the first time since 2012.

The 27-year-old told the club's official website: "The gaffer has told us that we need to play every game like a final. Today was a good performance, but we are 16 games from the end of the season and we need to keep this going.

"The Championship is a very long season with a lot of games, and you can't play this well every game. We have found ways of winning even when we've played badly, and now we have this gap at the top of the league we need to keep our standards and keep focused.

"We will play every game like a final. Every game is different and the challenge for us is to find our best possible performance for each game."

N'Diaye has scored once in six starts and 14 substitute outings in the Championship this season.
