Team News: Liam Ridgewell makes Wigan Athletic debut at Birmingham City

Wigan Athletic give a debut to loan signing Liam Ridgewell as they travel to face Birmingham City in the Championship.

Wigan Athletic have decided to hand a debut to loan signing Liam Ridgewell as they travel to face Birmingham City in the Championship this afternoon.

The visitors have also brought in three other faces, with Shaun Maloney, Don Cowie and goalkeeper Scott Carson all starting for Malky Mackay's side.

Birmingham have reversed a number of changes following their recent FA Cup exploits, with a strong starting XI seeing Clayton Donaldson leading the attacking line.

The striker is to be supported by a five-man midfield, which includes Andrew Shinnie, David Davis and David Cotterill.

Birmingham City: Randolph; Grounds, Robinson, Gleeson, Donaldson, Cotterill, Shinnie, Davis, Morrison, Caddis, Gray

Wigan Athletic: Carson; Taylor, Ramis, McCann, Maloney, McClean, Cowie, Perch, Ridgewell, Forshaw, Kiernan
