West Ham United's new signing Manuel Lanzini has claimed that he hopes to 'make history' at the club.
The 22-year-old Argentine joined the Hammers on a season-long loan from UAE side Al Jazira last Wednesday.
Lanzini has insisted that he wants to make a similar impact that fellow countryman Carlos Tevez did during his one-year stay at West Ham.
"Tevez is an amazing player," Lanzini told the club's official website. "He made history here but we are very different players. I am here to try to make my own history for this club and have a place in the heart of the fans. First of all, I want to settle here - this is a very difficult and competitive league."
The Premier League club have the option to make Lanzini's stay permanent if he performs during the 2015-16 campaign.
