Watford's Alessandro Diamanti accuses West Ham United of being unprofessional

Diamanti hits out at 'unprofessional' West Ham

Watford midfielder Alessandro Diamanti has accused West Ham United of acting unprofessionally during his year-long spell at the club.

The Italian, who left the Hammers with four years remaining on his deal in 2010, has claimed that the East London club did not implement a diet plan.

Diamanti played outside of England for five years before joining Watford this summer on loan from Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande.

"I found a football club that is more modern," Diamanti told Gazzetta dello Sport. "At West Ham everyone ate what they wanted, but at Watford you follow a specific diet.

"After the pitch work we have sessions of yoga and Pilates. There is a lot of attention for the video part. We have an English teacher available. A new world."

Diamanti was voted runner-up in the club's Hammer of the Year awards after scoring eight goals during his time there.
