West Ham United manager David Moyes confirms that forward Andy Carroll could return to the first-team squad for the Premier League fixture with Stoke City.

West Ham United manager David Moyes has admitted that Andy Carroll is in contention to feature against Stoke City on Monday evening.

At the start of 2018, Carroll sustained a fractured ankle and it was initially reported that the forward would be sidelined for the rest of the season.

However, Carroll returned to training earlier this week and Moyes says that he must decide whether to include the target man for the Premier League fixture with the Potters.

At a press conference, the 54-year-old told reporters: "He's back in training, we got him back at the start of the week so we will keep monitoring him. We'll see how he is, obviously he hasn't played for 11 weeks so I have got that on my mind as well.

"If we get Andy back, it'll be a big plus. We know how good he can be and what he can bring us so the sooner we get him back, the better. Will he be ready for Monday? I am not sure yet."

Carroll has scored two goals in 12 top-flight outings this season.
