Kouyate scores first goal at Olympic Stadium

West Ham United midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate has become the first player to score at the Olympic Stadium in a competitive club match.

The Hammers brought an end to their 112-year stay at the Boleyn Ground at the conclusion of last season in order to embark on a new era at the Olympic Stadium - originally built for the London Games in 2012.

Slaven Bilic's side welcomed Slovenian minnows NK Domzale to the stadium for their first competitive outing as they looked to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg of their Europa League qualifier.

It took them just seven minutes to do just that, with Kouyate converting from Sam Byram's cross to write his name into the club's history books.
