West Brom 'line up £6m Woods deal'

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly set their sights on signing Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods this summer.

New Baggies boss Darren Moore is looking to overhaul his squad following their relegation from the Premier League last season and is targeting young players with Championship experience.

Birmingham Live reports that 24-year-old Woods is high on Moore's list of potential targets, with West Brom considering a £6m approach for the former Shrewsbury Town man.

Woods is from the Midlands and could be open to the idea of joining West Brom, who have also been linked with a £4m move for his Brentford teammate Romaine Sawyers.

Bristol City striker Bobby Reid is another player understood to be on Moore's wishlist as he prepares for the expected exits of a number of high-profile players following their relegation.

Captain Jonny Evans has already joined Leicester City, while Jake Livermore, Salomon Rondon, Jay Rodriguez and Kieran Gibbs have also been linked with moves away.
