West Bromwich Albion 'won't put George Thorne up for sale amid Derby interest'

Thorne 'not for sale at West Brom'

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly insisted to Derby County that midfielder George Thorne is not for sale.

The Rams are said to be keen on securing a permanent deal for Thorne, who joined the Championship club on loan for the second half of last season.

The 21-year-old hinted in a recent interview that he is unhappy at being a squad player at The Hawthorns.

Despite his claims, West Brom have told Derby that Thorne is staying with the Premier League club, according to the Birmingham Mail.

Thorne signed a new long-term deal with the Baggies in January.
